Kent Carter currently serves as the Director of HSEC and Resource Evaluation for the CanPacific Potash Albany Project. Prior to this role Mr. Carter was the Project Manager for Rio Tinto and was responsible for the management of the Rio Tinto - North Atlantic Potash Joint Venture.
Mr. Carter has over 30 years of international mineral exploration experience in a range of commodities, including gold, base metals, mineral sands, diamonds, iron ore and potash.
Mr. Carter has directed exploration efforts in the USA, Mexico and Papua New Guinea for companies such as for BHP Billiton, Phelps Dodge, Orvana Resources and Esso. During his 16 years with Rio Tinto, Mr. Carter has managed diamond, iron ore and potash programs in South Africa, Zimbabwe, Brazil and Canada. Mr. Carter holds a Master of Science in Geology from the University of Houston, Texas.
